Established in 2021, Activated Authors is an online community centered around principles of healthy productivity, community, and shared knowledge. Founded by bestselling author and author coach, Daniel Willcocks, the group aims to help authors and creatives of all levels achieve their creative goals and thrive as part of a healthy, positive community.
I hit my first creative crossroads in 2015. I flailed, crawling my way through the creative process until I eventually published my first book. I had no community, no next-steps planned, no clue.
Activated Authors is all about empowering authors. I know the value of community, having built a pretty solid career working with others and coaching authors across all levels. I have been part of collaborations, networks, and masterminds that have all helped me level up my writing career. And now I want to give this gift to other authors.
In a world that is so digitally connected, it’s amazing how alone we can feel in Facebook groups filled with thousands of authors. My goal is to help you find a close-knit, like-minded community of authors, and generate real-world connections to create the stepping stones that will lead you on your author career.
Activated Authors is a home for creatives. It’s a home for authors, writers, artists, and anyone looking to become a professional with their work. Most of all, it’s about ensuring that you don’t have to make the same mistakes that I did. You don’t have to stumble and crawl through your creative life.

A.K.A. “Mastress of None,” Sam is a video-editor, poet, writer, painter, actor and creator. Based in the south of England (but not born there, that’s an important distinction) Sam is passionate about helping creatives while battling the will of a medium sized human and the “affectionate” sneezes of a smaller sized pug.

Eden is a non binary author, steampunk, actor and walking encyclopaedia. Born and raised in Cornwall in the far south west of Britain, they live in an old house near the sea with their partner and two cats Grogu and Praytell. Eden wants to help support creatives on their journey and maybe add an interesting fact or two!

Emmie B. writes middle grade fantasy and cozy mystery novels under Ember Mae. When she isn’t penning stories about sassy woman sleuths and their mischievous pets, then she’s baking or watching Psych on repeat. She lives in Guam with her mom, second dad, sister, army of dogs, gaggle of cats, and legion of chickens.

Bekka Willcocks is a nutrition and weight management coach that specialises in weight loss & gain, menopause, and eating disorders. Bekka wants to help others find their food freedom and overcome current food habits which prevent others from fully energising themselves with the right nutrients.
